Quotes milling about in my head lately.

These two quotes have been stuck in my head:

"Once a king or queen in Narnia, always a king or queen."
 - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, p.148

"If you could make a starship at the push of a button, you wouldn't need to..."

 - Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual, p.17

I think this is hinting at some deep need for control and/or power within - and yet dissociation from - virtual worlds.
